About LunaList
What is LunaList?
LunaList is a free period tracker and women’s health app for iPhone and Android. It tracks periods, ovulation and fertile days, pregnancy week by week, birth control pills, PCOS/endometriosis symptoms and menopause. It predicts dates from your own cycle history rather than a 28-day average.
Is it called Luna or LunaList?
It is the same app. Its name is LunaList. It used to be shortened to Luna inside the app, and now it says LunaList everywhere. The subscription is called LunaList Pro. The official website is lunalist.app.
Who makes LunaList?
LunaList is made by a small independent team based in Azerbaijan. It was designed first for women in Azerbaijan, Türkiye and the wider region, and it works anywhere in the world.
Which languages is LunaList available in?
Azerbaijani, English, Russian and Turkish. The app, notifications, website and privacy policy are fully available in all four.
Can I use LunaList outside Azerbaijan?
Yes. Nothing in the app depends on your country: dates, cycles and reminders work in any time zone. Availability depends on the App Store and Google Play in your region, and prices are shown in your local currency.
Who is LunaList for?
Anyone aged 17 or over who tracks their period, is trying to conceive, is pregnant, takes the pill, lives with PCOS or endometriosis, or is going through perimenopause or menopause.
Is LunaList an alternative to Flo or Clue?
Yes, especially if you want an app in Azerbaijani, Russian or Turkish, a free version with no ads, and a clear view of where your information is stored. An honest side-by-side comparison is at lunalist.app/compare.
Price and LunaList Pro
Is LunaList free?
Yes. Period and ovulation tracking, predictions, the daily summary, reminders, all six goals and the community are free, with no ads. LunaList Pro is an optional subscription that adds depth.
What does LunaList Pro include?
All exports (a PDF report for your doctor covering the last 3, 6 or 12 months, plus JSON and CSV files), along with rhythm analysis across all your cycles, a 12-month forecast, unlimited community comments, and step-by-step programs for conceiving, PCOS and menopause.
How much does LunaList Pro cost?
There are monthly, 6-month and yearly plans, and some start with a 1-week free trial. The exact price is shown in the App Store or Google Play in your local currency before you pay. You can cancel any time in your store account settings.
Can I get LunaList Pro for free?
Yes: log 7 days in a row and you get 7 days of LunaList Pro as a gift. Nothing is charged when it ends.
Does LunaList show ads?
No. There are no ads, and your information is never sold or shared for advertising.
Predictions and accuracy
How does LunaList predict my next period?
It uses your own recent cycles (up to your last 12) and ignores months where you obviously forgot to log. Ovulation is estimated about 13 days before the next expected period, with the fertile window around it. Until you have logged cycles, it starts from the answers you give during setup.
How accurate are the dates?
LunaList shows a date range, not a single date: for example, “10-14 Oct, most likely the 12th”. It becomes more precise with every new cycle. Every estimate shows its reason, and when there is little information it says “still an estimate”.
Does it work with irregular cycles?
Yes. If your cycle varies, the predicted window gets wider instead of pretending to be exact. The PCOS / Endometriosis goal is designed for long and irregular cycles.
What happens if my period is late?
A few days late is not treated as an alarm. LunaList shows how late you are compared with your own usual range and, as more days pass, calmly suggests next steps such as a pregnancy test or seeing a doctor.
Can I use LunaList as birth control?
No. Fertile-day predictions are estimates and are not a method of contraception. If you want to avoid pregnancy, use a reliable method and talk to a doctor.
Is there a free ovulation calculator?
Yes, at lunalist.app/ovulation, with no sign-up needed. Pick the first day of your last period to see your ovulation day, fertile days, next period and an estimated due date.
Goals and logging
What can I track?
There are six goals: period tracking, trying to conceive, pregnancy, birth control pill, PCOS / endometriosis and menopause. Whichever you choose, the screen adapts to it.
What can I log each day?
Period flow, spotting, symptoms, mood, sleep, water, acne, intimacy, test results and free notes. A daily log takes one tap.
Does it help when trying to get pregnant?
It shows your fertile days and most likely ovulation day based on your own cycle, and lets you log ovulation and pregnancy tests. If you have been trying for more than a year (or more than six months if you are over 35), see a doctor.
Does it have a pregnancy tracker?
Yes. It shows your week, trimester and estimated due date from the first day of your last period, with your baby’s size, development and tips for each week.
Can it remind me to take my pill?
Yes. It reminds you at the time you choose, shows pill days and break days separately on a pack calendar, and repeats the reminder if you haven’t marked the pill as taken.
Is it useful for PCOS or endometriosis?
Yes. It collects long and irregular cycles, pain and bleeding logs in a way you can show your doctor. With LunaList Pro you can generate a PDF report for recent months.
Does it support perimenopause and menopause?
Yes. Log hot flashes, night sweats, sleep and mood, and see when and how often they happen.
Can I change my goal later?
Yes, any time. Your old logs stay. For example, you can switch back to period tracking after pregnancy.
Privacy and data
Where is my information stored?
On our servers, linked to your account, so your logs aren’t lost when you change phones. It is encrypted while sent over the internet. You can delete your account and all your information at any time.
Is my data sold or shared?
No. Your information is never sold or shared for advertising. The services the app needs to run (hosting, notifications, payments) are listed by name in section 4 of the Privacy Policy.
Does LunaList use AI?
In one place only: the morning “Today’s tip” notification. It is written by Google Gemini, and the last 7 days of logs are sent without your name, email or phone number. The daily summary is calculated by the app’s own rules, not by AI. You can turn the tip off in settings.
Do I need an account?
No. You can start right away as a guest. If you link an account later from Profile, your logs survive a phone change or reinstall.
Can I hide my information when someone is next to me?
Yes, with quiet mode. Colours, phase names and dates are hidden, and notification text isn’t shown.
Can I download my logs?
Yes, with LunaList Pro: download all your logs as JSON or a spreadsheet (CSV), or as a PDF report for your doctor. The file is prepared in the background and you get a notification when it’s ready. Deleting your account and all your information is free for everyone.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Delete account. If you sign in again within 14 days the account is restored; after that all your information is permanently deleted. If you can’t open the app, you can also request deletion by email as described at lunalist.app/delete-account.
Community and specialists
Is my name shown in the community?
Not if you don’t want it to be. You can post anonymously; your name and photo are never shown to other users. Posts are checked automatically and by moderators, and if you disagree with a decision you can appeal and a different moderator reviews it.
Are there doctors in the community?
Yes. Doctors and specialists appear as experts only after we check them, and only they can carry the verified badge. Every article shows its author.
Technical
Which phones does it work on?
iPhone and Android. The download link lunalist.app/app opens the right store for your phone.
Does it work offline?
Yes. You can log without internet, and everything is saved automatically once you are back online.
Does it send a lot of notifications?
No, at most two a day. You can turn each type (reminders, health tips, community) off separately.
How old do I need to be?
LunaList is for users aged 17 and over.
Health
Is this medical advice?
No. LunaList gives information, not a diagnosis, and does not replace a doctor. If it sees something in your logs that calls for a doctor, it tells you plainly. If you are worried, always see a doctor.
When does LunaList tell me to see a doctor?
The red warning only appears when your logs suggest seeing a doctor: for example, when there has been no period for a very long time, or when pain and bleeding logs go far outside your usual range. Whatever the app says, see a doctor about anything that worries you.
